Paul Kampf

Producer / Writer / Director

Paul has been developing and applying his craft for over thirty years as an actor, director, writer, producer, and teacher with a focus on creating a bridge between training and professional experience.

His talents were first honed in the theater where he was a founding member and Artistic Director of Breadline Theatre Group in Chicago. Under Paul’s guidance, the company produced thirty world-premiere plays and created one of the most unique art centers in the city. Most importantly, Paul built his work ethic, aesthetics, and belief in the power of a cohesive team of like-minded artists.

After directing the feature adaptation of his Joseph Jefferson nominated play American Gothic into the film, Brothers Three featuring the talents of Patrick Wilson and John Heard. Paul put his focus and passion into creating an important and necessary production/training studio in the heart of Hollywood.

Paul wrote and directed Equitas’ latest feature as writer/director, Imprisoned starring Laurence Fishburne, Edward James Olmos, Juana Acosta, and Juan Pablo Raba, Jon Huertas, and Esai Morales.  The company recently gave Roselyn Sanchez her first opportunity to direct by helping develop her film award-winning film, SATOS.

Equitas subsequently launched Equitas Puerto Rico to continue producing high-quality projects that provide employment and infrastructure while opening the doors for new voices on the island.  Extending their commitment to diversity and opportunity, Equitas Puerto Rico will be producing the all-female-led, all Spanish feature directing debut for Roselyn Sanchez entitled, Diario, Mujer & Cafe.

Through the International impact of his upcoming films and television series in Serbia, he has recently launched Equitas Belgrade to not only support the talent development in Eastern Europe but to bring our mission-based production approach to talented, determined artists.
